A massive IT upgrade is helping St Luke's Hospice specialists visits reduce paperwork on home visits.
'Real time' data collection means faster adjustments to treatment options and quicker responses to patient's needs.
The £35,000 upgrade at the hospice in Kenton is being paid for by Middlesex Freemasons with its latest round of grants for charities and good causes.
"We rely largely on donations to pay for the majority of our services," St Luke's chief executive Lindsay Bennister said. "This support from the Middlesex Freemasons will make a real difference.
"These improvements help our teams work more efficiently so we can focus on making every moment matter for the people and families who need us most."
St Luke's cares for people in the neighbouring London boroughs of Brent and Harrow who have life-limiting illness, helping them to "make every moment matter".
The hospice provides free palliative and end-of-life care at home and at its inpatient unit housed in the former Kenton Grange in Kenton Road, as well as giving emotional and practical support for families in their own homes.
But it has to rely on public generosity to pay for the services, like most hospices which are independent charities and not directly part of the NHS. Only part of their funding comes from the NHS -- public donations usually pay for the free, specialist palliative and end-of-life care.
Middlesex Freemasons' Relief Fund chairman Hugh Saville said: "The dedication by the hospice to care for patients and their loved ones is extraordinary. We are inspired by the impact these important technology upgrades will make for the hospice."
Th funding ensures St Luke's can continue with its compassionate care in the future.
Middlesex Freemasons has been supporting the community and good causes since 1870, now with 4,000 members in 160 lodges with four masonic centres. It is open to people from all religions and political persuasions, providing friendships.
