Batiste made international headlines after his 2021 studio album 'We Are' was nominated for 11 Grammys, across seven different categories, a first in Grammy history. In 2023, his album 'World Music Radio' earned five Grammy nominations. That same year, he won a Grammy and got an Oscar nod for the track 'It Never Went Away' from his Netflix documentary American Symphony. Earlier this year, Batiste once again made headlines for his Super Bowl performance and the success of his album, 'Beethoven Blues,' which famously found itself on top of the Billboard's Classical Albums chart for nine weeks.

The musician's accolades also include an Academy Award for Pixar's Soul and a seven-year tenure as bandleader and musical director of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

In a statement about his upcoming India debut, Batiste said that the country's musical spirit has always inspired him. "I'm beyond thrilled to finally perform in Mumbai and Delhi. This tour is about sharing joy, stories and sounds that bring us together, and I can't wait to experience that magic with all of you in India," he added.
