Sara Tendulkar, daughter of Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, celebrated her 28th birthday on Sunday (October 12). Unlike her father, Sara has remained away from cricket, although fans occasionally spot her at the stadiums enjoying matches.
Instead, Sara chose to ply her trade in fitness and had recently launched Pilates Academy X Sara Tendulkar in Andheri, Mumbai. Her Instagram bio reads "biomedical scientist" and "registered nutritionist".
Sachin Tendulkar wished his daughter by sharing childhood photos of her on social media and penned a lovely message. "From our shared laughs to your biggest dreams, Sara, you've always made us proud. Happy Birthday! Keep shining bright. (heart emoticon)" - the Master Blaster wrote on X.
Her brother Arjun and to be sister-in-law Saaniya Chandhok also joined the celebrations. Arjun shared a photo of the two and wrote: "Happy Birthday (heart emoticon)", while his fiancé Saaniya wished: "Happpy birthday to my favourtite".

Recently, Sara revealed the reason behind not pursuing a career in cricket. She stated that although she has enjoyed watching her father play some iconic knocks, she never had the drive to step into the sport as a player.
"Never. It's been my brother's forte. I have played gully cricket, but never thought about it," Sara was quoted as saying by NDTV in a report.
Sara further disclosed that visiting Australia every four years when her father was an active player remains one of her favourite and core childhood memories.
"I distinctly remember spending New Year's Eve in Australia, in Sydney -- the ones we were there when we visited every four years. We would spend New Year's Eve on a boat with the whole team. That's something I will never forget," she added.

Sara picked her father's retirement match against West Indies at his home ground - the Wankhede Stadium - as one of the memories from the sport that remains vivid.
"If I have to pick one vivid memory, then I would pick his retirement match. I was old enough to really understand what that meant at that point. When I was younger, I went for the games, but I never really grasped the enormity of them," she said.
