Five people were rescued from the top floor of a building, after a fire raged through an IPAS centre in Drogheda last night.
Gardaí say that emergency services were alerted to the scene at approximately 8:15pm last night.
Members of the Fire Service rescued the five people who were trapped on the building's top floor, and subsequently extinguished the blaze.
According to reports, three children under the age of ten were amongst those rescued.
Gardaí say that the results of a technical examination of the scene will determine the course of their investigation into the fire.
