LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. (WKRC) - A man allegedly stood outside of a grocery store to wait for a stranger and his guide dog, then "sucker punched the victim" in the face and knocked him out.
According to a release from the Broward County Sheriff's Office, the attack occurred just after 7:20 p.m. on October 11 at an Aldi location at 3301 North State Road 7.
When first responders arrived, they obtained security camera recordings that showed the incident in full, which was also uploaded by the sheriff's office.
"[The suspect] argued with the victim inside the store," authorities said. "At some point, the suspect went outside the store and waited for the victim. The video shows that seconds after the victim left the store with his dog, the [suspect] sucker punched him. The victim fell backwards and hit his head, sustaining significant and serious injuries."
The victim's condition was not revealed, and investigators said they were still searching for a suspect.
