OnePlus is gearing up for one of its biggest launches of the year, announcing that the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2 will make their global debut live in Bengaluru, India, on 17 December. OnePlus 15R: Camera, Performance and Display Announced
The brand has shared the first major look at the OnePlus 15R, which continues the R Series' legacy of offering flagship-grade power at a more accessible price point. The device will feature the new Detailmax Engine, the same advanced computational photography system used in the premium OnePlus 15. With technologies such as Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst and Clear Night Engine, the 15R is designed to elevate clarity, dynamic range and low-light imaging.
On the performance front, the OnePlus 15R becomes the first smartphone to launch globally with the co-defined Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform. The chipset is part of a triple-chip system that also includes a dedicated G2 Wi-Fi chip for stronger wireless performance and a Touch Response Chip engineered for ultra-fast touch sensitivity, particularly useful for gaming and competitive play.
The phone will also pack a 165Hz 1.5K AMOLED display. With 450 pixels per inch and brightness ranging from a peak of 1800 nits to as low as 1 nit (with Reduce White Point), the panel is built for both immersive gameplay and comfortable viewing in any environment. Combined with the high refresh rate, the display aims to deliver smoother visuals and quicker reaction times.
OnePlus Pad Go 2: Bigger, Brighter and Built for Multitasking
The OnePlus Pad Go 2 will enter the mid-range tablet segment with a strong emphasis on display quality. The company confirmed a massive 12.1-inch 2.8K screen featuring 284ppi, 900-nit peak brightness, 98% DCI-P3 coverage and Dolby Vision support. The tablet is also TÜV Rheinland Smart Care 4.0 certified for improved eye comfort during extended use.
OnePlus' self-developed Open Canvas software returns on this new model, offering smooth multitasking with simple gestures, split-screen capabilities and easy window management, features tailored for students, creators and everyday productivity.
Anniversary Celebrations and Community Activities
To mark its 12th anniversary, OnePlus has released a new message from Founder Pete Lau, reflecting on the company's renewed focus on innovative and burdenless technology for younger users. The brand has also launched the OnePlus Run 2.0 game, featuring its mascot Una, giving fans a chance to win new OnePlus devices and collect festive Una avatars, including Christmas and Diwali editions.
