ANN ARBOR, MI - One person was arrested and another 37 ejected from the Michigan Stadium during the Wolverines' game against Ohio State University.
Of the nearly 40 people ousted from the stadium Nov. 29, 14 were booted for disorderly conduct and 11 for being too intoxicated, according to Melissa Overton, deputy chief for university's police. The others were removed for breaking stadium rules, fighting and possessing alcohol underage.
One person was arrested for resisting and obstructing police. Another person was also removed and cited for urinating in public.
Game attendees were also reportedly involved in a stabbing in the parking lot of Pioneer High School, 601 W. Stadium Boulevard, confirmed Chris Page, spokesperson for the Ann Arbor police.
Police were called to the school's parking lot, which is kitty-corner from the stadium, around 4 p.m. for a report of a stabbing. One person was injured.
The Wolverines lost to the Buckeyes during their final home game of the season.
More than 60 people were also seen at the medical station, Overton said. Twenty-six of the 63 patients seen were taken to the hospital, 11 for alcohol-related illnesses.
This weekend's ejections were significantly more than those for other recent games at The Big House. Seventeen people were booted from Michigan Stadium on Nov. 1, following just nine people ousted Oct. 18.
