Prime Minister Modi received the last-minute invitation from Trump and Sisi on Saturday (October 11), The Indian Express (TIE) reported, citing sources.
However, Prime Minister Modi will not attend the summit.
Government officials confirmed that India had received an invitation, but that Minister of State (MoS) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA), Kirti Vardhan Singh, would represent India, News18 reported.
The meeting, to be held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, will be jointly chaired by Trump and Sissi to finalize the peace deal to end the Israeli war in Gaza.
According to a statement released by the Egyptian President's Office, the meeting is expected to bring together leaders from more than 20 countries, including British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

"The summit aims to end the war in the Gaza Strip, strengthen efforts to bring peace and stability to the Middle East and pave the way for a new phase of regional security and stability. This summit comes in light of US President Trump's vision for achieving peace in the region and his relentless efforts to end conflicts around the world," the statement said, according to News18.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is also expected to attend the summit officially titled the Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit. Other participants include French President Emmanuel Macron and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
Israel-Hamas peace agreement
Israel and Hamas have agreed to a US-brokered peace plan to end the two-year military conflict in Gaza.
The plan also benefited from mediation by Qatar, Egypt and Turkey, according to the Associated Press.
The hostage exchange began according to plan and Gazans also returned home.
