Team Vitality Triumphs at ESL Pro League Season 22, Securing Eighth Title of the year - Inside Sport India

Team Vitality, continued its outstanding Counter-Strike 2 season by claiming victory at the ESL Pro League Season 22. Under the leadership of captain Dan "apEX" Madesclaire, the roster - comprising of Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut, Shahar "flameZ" Shushan, William "mezii" Merriman and Robin "ropz" Kool - began the competition in Stage 2. Despite an early setback against Gentle Mates (0-2), the team quickly bounced back, securing convincing victories over GamerLegion, HOTU and G2, and thus earning their spot in the playoffs.

In the quarterfinals, the team faced Brazilian side FURIA (2-1) and FaZe in the semifinals (2-1), delivering dominant performances in two intense matches. In a best-of-five Grand Final, against Team Falcons, Team Vitality dropped a masterclass in Counter-Strike and delivered a clean 3-0 victory.

Frenchman Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut earned yet another MVP title, bringing his total number of MVP awards to 28 for his extraordinary performances.

TWO CONSECUTIVE ESL PRO LEAGUE TITLES AND AN EIGHTH INTERNATIONAL TROPHY IN 2025

This victory marks Team Vitality's second consecutive ESL Pro League crown, following their Season 21 triumph over MOUZ earlier this year. The Bee's 2025 form demonstrates unprecedented dominance, cementing Team Vitality as a force to be reckoned with in modern Counter-Strike.

After a legendary start to the season, highlighted by a Grand Slam, a Major title and a 30-match winning streak, this latest achievement further solidifies an already exceptional year. Looking ahead, the team has equally ambitious goals, with IEM Chengdu 2025, BLAST Rivals S2 and the highly anticipated Starladder Budapest CS2 Major on the horizon.
