The new update will introduce a winter-themed gameplay experience, reportedly titled "Frosty Funland Mode." Players will be able to explore Penguinville and nearby penguin towns, complete with snow-covered landscapes and penguin-built settlements. These new areas will feature interactive exploration zones, themed loot, and unique weather effects that will directly influence combat dynamics within the game.
To enhance player movement and mechanics, leaks suggest the inclusion of Magic Ice Skates, allowing players to glide and leap across snowy terrains, as well as Penguin Snowmobiles for faster travel. Additionally, a new NPC Crest System will introduce collectible tokens that can be redeemed for rewards during matches.
While Krafton has not officially announced the release date, reports indicate that the BGMI 4.1 update is expected to roll out between November 11 and November 16, 2025, following the regular two-month update cycle after the 4.0 patch launched in September.
Based on previous trends, the expected release date is around November 12, 2025, which aligns with the typical rollout window for BGMI's winter-themed updates.
Players can also look forward to new weapons and items, such as Salted Fish Rocket Launchers that create icy traps upon explosion, and Enhancement Elixirs crafted by the Apothecary Penguin, which boost player abilities.
The 4.1 update will also feature themed rewards, visual upgrades, seasonal events, mystic outfits, and an all-new Royale Pass that ties into the winter concept.
Players can expect early update events to begin around the second week of November, followed by a full rollout on both Android and iOS devices.
