Milan finished eighth in Serie A, outside a European placement, and will be forced to start the 2025-26 season earlier than their domestic rivals for Coppa Italia commitment.
Milan's new season will start before those of their Italian rivals as the Rossoneri will play the first competitive game of 2025-26 in mid-August.
The Rossoneri finished 8th in the Serie A table this season, which means they'll have to start the Coppa Italia journey from the second round, as reported by Goal.com.
The official times and dates for the 2025-26 Coppa Italia are still unknown, but the second round, in which Milan will be involved, will likely be played around August 15.
The new Serie A campaign starts on August 24, but the Rossoneri's first official outing will be at least a week earlier.
If they qualify for the Round of 32, they'll play again in mid-September, while the Round of 16 will be played in January. All Coppa Italia games, except the semifinals, are single-leg ties and due to this season's placement, Milan will play in the Round of 16 away if they qualify.
