Filmmaker Milap Zaveri shared a heartfelt message on social media, expressing his gratitude to actor-producer Riteish Deshmukh for reviving his career. Zaveri revealed that just two years ago, he was struggling with no work and unanswered calls, as many had lost faith in his ability to direct again.
In his note, he credited Riteish for believing in him when no one else did. "2 years ago i had no work. No one was answering my calls. No one had faith i could direct again. One man, @riteishd, said I should direct 'Masti 4' and that he would back me (sic)," Zaveri wrote.
The filmmaker went on to announce that the film has now been successfully wrapped, calling it a milestone moment in his comeback journey. "Today I have 3 films releasing in one year. #EkDeewaneKiDEEWANIYAT #TeraYaarHoonMain and #Masti4 All because he was the first to show faith in me (sic)."
"He kick-started my fightback. He is my Sethji and I'm indebted to him for life (sic)," the filmmaker added, acknowledging Riteish's pivotal role in his professional resurgence.
Returning to its roots, after 20 years, the upcoming film promises to infuse the screen with the same timeless humour and mischievous charm that endeared fans to the franchise from the beginning when it was first released in 2004. The trio, Riteish, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani, is ready to reignite the flames of mischief and revelry in the next part.
'Masti 4' is bankrolled by Indra Kumar, A Jhunjhunwala, Ashok Thakeria and S K Ahluwalia.
