The Party in Pink Zumbathon is a dance event that raises money to help support the Breast and GYN Health Project.
The Party in Pink Zumbathon is coming up soon on October 25th and you can come shake it up at their 11th annual event, all while raising money for a good cause.
"On October 25th we have the Zumbathon for the Breast and GYN Health project, which is out of Arcata," said Zumba Instructor Michaele Whiteley.
"This is like our 12th year that we're all dancing around," said Whiteley.
"All proceeds are going to go to the breast GYN health Project and arcade. And my good buddy Rose. This is like our 12th year of doing the Zumbathon. I've got nine fantastic teachers coming in from all over. I want to thank the city of Eureka for sponsoring the event. All the money that we raised is going to Arcata, to help sponsor anybody and anybody that needs help," said Whiteley.
The White Lotus Cultural Dancers will be in attendance, and they'll have raffle prizes galore.
"I want to give back to the community," said Whiteley.
"I love the community. I was born and raised in the community where I have a lot of family that are dealing with breast cancer, a lot of family members that are up in heaven, and a lot of my students that are dealing with breast cancer."
"So we just need to get more information out there. So people need to know what to do. I have been teaching over 32 years here at the Adorni center with the city of Eureka. And I think exercise and dance helps bring awareness to our hearts."
"And to our spirits and the endorphins that we get, it's just fantastic."
