The Arizona Cardinals upset the Dallas Cowboys 27-17 on Monday Night Football, ending Arizona's five-game losing streak and leaving Dallas searching for answers.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he has "absolutely no regrets" about signing cornerback DaRon Bland to a contract extension before the season. "Boy, I like what he does. I'm glad we've got him," Jones told @1053thefan.
Jones also said he still believes defensive tackle Mazi Smith can become the player the front office hoped when they drafted him in the first round of 2023. But Monday's loss amplified questions about recent decisions and left Jones reflecting on his approach.

"There's no dodging looking the mirror," he admitted. "As I was watching that game last night, I was reviewing where we were and where we're going this morning."
A highlight that spread across social feeds saw Marvin Harrison Jr. shake Bland with a quick move and then catch a four-yard touchdown from Jacoby Brissett. The play sent Bland to the turf, helped Arizona grab a 10-0 lead and became one of the game's most replayed moments. Bland finished the night silhouetted by that moment, even as Jones defended the cornerback's overall value to the team.
Still, the Cowboys' defense struggled at times, and the offense could not recover enough to avoid a damaging loss. Jones also floated the idea of a trade before the deadline, then walked back those comments after the game.
