Three teams enter the final week of the regular season with one loss in conference play. That means the championship race is wide-open ahead of Week 14.
That being said, ESPN has overhauled its ACC rankings ahead of Week 12, per its FPI metrics. The Football Power Index (FPI) is a tool ESPN uses to measure team strength as the best predictor of a team's performance going forward for the rest of the season.
These rankings often cause controversy because the projected results based on 20,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, as well as results to date, and each team's remaining schedule. It doesn't account for just win-loss records. Find out who cracked the top 10 below:
There are a handful of complicated, multi-part scenarios that could occur for Miami to be able to play for the ACC Championship game. Though, none are likely.
That means the Hurricanes will have to rely on being an at-large bid into the final field of 12. Currently on the bubble, there's no margin for error for Miami during its Week 14 matchup on the road at No. 22 Pitt.
According to ESPN, SMU has a 55.2% chance to win the ACC and a 51.2% to make the College Football Playoff heading into the final week of the regular season. They'll clinch a spot in the conference title game with a win at Cal of Saturday.
The Mustangs are currently 8-3 overall but with a 6-1 mark against the ACC, SMU has carved out its own path to make the CFP. That's now a reality, but they'll likely have to win on Saturday and in Charlotte next month to do so.
Florida State's promising start to the season has turned into the Seminoles fighting for bowl eligibility during the final week of the regular season. Currently 5-6 overall, FSU has yet to win a true road game this season.
That doesn't bode well for Florida State, who hits the road to play Florida in the Swamp during Week 14. Though, the Gators are 3-8 this season.
Pitt has been on a roller coaster this season. After a 2-2 start to the season, the Panthers have won six of its past seven games. They'll host a Miami squad on Saturday to try and finish then regular season 9-3 overall.
Pitt will need to not only beat Miami this weekend to make the ACC title game. They'll also need Virginia or SMU lose their respective Week 14 game.
Clemson beat Furman 45-10 during Week 13, cementing the Tigers' bowl eligibility this season. At 6-5 overall, they have a chance to beat South Carolina on the road during Week 14.
While Clemson has gone a long way from being ranked No. 4 in the preseason AP poll, they have a chance to finish the season having won its last four regular season games. A win over the Gamecocks creates the potential for Clemson to finish with as many as eight wins this season.
Louisville's November collapse has seen the Cardinals lose each of its last three games after beginning the season with a 7-1 record. That includes losses to Cal and Clemson -- both by one score -- as well as a 32-point loss to SMU.
The Cardinals will look to salvage the rest of its season when it hosts Kentucky on Saturday. They'll be getting the Wildcats' best shot, as a win makes UK bowl eligible this season.
All Virginia has to do is beat Virginia Tech on Saturday night and the Cavaliers will be playing for the ACC Championship. It would also give Virginia it's 10th win of the regular season -- the program's first since 1989.
It's the best season to date for fourth-year head coach Tony Elliott. After all, he had 11 total wins during his first three seasons with the program.
Georgia Tech was ranked as high as No. 7 in the country during its 8-0 start to the season. The Yellow Jackets have since lost two of its last three games, putting its College Football Playoff hopes in jeopardy ahead of Week 14.
Considering they're set to take on a top-five Georgia team, it'll be easier said than done beating the white-hot Bulldogs this time of year. Still, that would complete a 10-win regular season for Georgia Tech, something that hasn't been done since 2009.
Duke is one of the six teams still alive to make the ACC Championship game heading into Week 14. They'll have to beat Wake Forest on Saturday and need some help from losses by both SMU and Pitt.
Another, more complicated scenario, would need Duke to see losses from Wake Forest, Pitt and Virginia while North Carolina wins. There aren't many scenarios where Blue Devils fans are cheering for a Tar Heels win. This may be an exception.
NC State became bowl eligible when it defeated Florida State 21-11 at home last Friday. At 6-5 overall, its the fourth year in a row that head coach Dave Doeren has led the Wolfpack to bowl eligibility.
They'll round out the season at home against North Carolina. NC State prevailed 35-30 in last year's rivalry contest.
