Units from both Bryan and College Station fire departments responded to the blaze. They were able to put the fire out in a couple of hours but everything inside the duplex was destroyed.
No injuries were reported in the fire. One of the families in the duplex, the Frazier family, was not home at the time and the other resident, Carlos Bretherton, is the one who called 911 when he woke up to find the house on fire. Bretherton was able to escape with his wife and dog but lost all of his possessions in the fire.
