There were joyous and poignant celebrations on Sunday evening across Coola, Sooey, Riverstown and Castlebaldwin as Shamrock Gaels senior men's gaelic footballers returned home with the Owen B Hunt Cup.
Their 2-11 to 0-8 win over 14-man Coolera/Strandhill saw them end a 33-year wait since their last senior championship title.
The homecoming cavalcade passed through Ballygawley and Sooey, stopping off at the graveyard there for a photograph at the graveside of lifelong Shamrock Gaels supporter and club member Anthony Connolly, who died tragically in a road traffic accident two years ago.
The homecoming celebrations continued through Coola and Rivestown before culminating at McDermott's in Castlebaldwin.
Once the celebrations die down, the Gaels will prepare for a forthcoming Connacht senior club championship game against Galway champions Moycullen.
