In 2006, ghosthunter Natalie Lawrence got "seriously spooked" when exploring the Black Lion on Bridge Street, which had previously been named the city's most haunted public house.
The 20-year-old told the Hereford Times that whilst the group of 25 walked through the building, a heavy table began to move, and ornaments were disturbed.
Ms Lawrence believed there to be 14 ghosts in the building, said she heard shuffling noises from the living room, and described the experience as "spine-chilling".
In 1996, Jo and Zoe Brant were left "living in fear" in their city flat, after the "terrifying antics" of a poltergeist which had entered their home.
The ghostly presence was said to be the cause of objects flying around the room, kitchen cupboards opening of their own accord, and curtains randomly twitching.
Jo, who had lived in her flat for six years, had been left seeking the advice of local councillors and members of the Church, after the "carnage" caused by the spirit.
"It's worse at night," she told the Hereford Times.
"We've seen the figure of a white lady in the bedrooms and when we get up in the morning things have moved around."

James Watkins was left "dumbfounded" after visiting paranormal investigator Barry Fitzpatrick, who had conducted a project on the King Charles II pub in Ross-on-Wye.
Mr Fitzpatrick had launched an appeal for information through the Hereford Times, after trying to trace a previous landlady who held negatives of the photos, and may be able to prove their authenticity.

Speaking of his ghostly encounter, Mr Watkins said: "Whenever I tried to copy the picture, my camera would do inexplicable things, "he said.
"At first there was an incredible red blur over the ghost's figure, and then wherever I positioned the flash, it would always cover the spirit's body, even when I positioned the flash behind my head.
