New Scenery Hotel brings laid-back luxe

The Scenery Hotel is setting up shop in the town of Windwardside in a space once occupied by the beloved Scout's Place hotel.

The new property, nestled at the foot of Mount Scenery, promises to blend in, not stand out.

The Grand Scenery Suites (bungalow-style rooms with natural materials, open-air terraces and floor-to-ceiling views) will reflect the island's minimal footprint. Rates will start at $275 per night when the property opens later this year.

While Saba's beauty is rugged and wild, the Scenery Hotel is leaning into laid-back luxury. There's an infinity pool framed by rainforest and sky and a focus on wellness offerings like massage, yoga and spa rituals.

At the Scenery Lounge, guests will be served complimentary breakfasts featuring locally sourced ingredients like tropical fruit and homemade pastries. In the evening, the space will transform into a stylish cocktail bar and social hub. Island-made rum, craft cocktails and wine pairings will be the draw.
