General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveals a new video preview has been released for Tuesday, May 27 that shows the stunning followup to Michael Corinthos' (Rory Gibson) return to Port Charles at the close of the Friday, May 23 episode
Walking in as the 2025 Nurses Ball came to a close, acknowledging no one else but his son, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver), Michael then lifted the little boy up and walked him out of the gala.
This was both a shocking and incredible scene and an GH immediate classic.
Most GH fans were delighted to see all the shocked faces surrounding Michael, especially his estranged wife, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), and her 'boyfriend' - Michael's uncle - Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Both Drew and Willow were pretty smug mere moments before when they approached Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), hoping they could come to a compromise where the child custody case for Wiley and his little sister Amelia Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko) was concerned.
Drew told Carly they had the upper hand, since Michael was away at the burn clinic, and they were only trying to end the in-family fighting.
After all, Drew and Willow assured Carly they'd allow Michael to have access to his kids every other weekend, and two weeks in the summer.
This is when Carly replied - no way!
Imagine Drew and Willow's shock as Michael picked up his son, and without looking for any approval from them, took him "home".
But where is "home" exactly for Michael these days? The Quartermaine estate? Potentially Sonny Corinthos' (Maurice Benard) new place?
It sounds like Michael may decide to stay with his mom, Carly, for at least a night or two.
In a preview video for the Tuesday, May 27 video (the Monday, May 26 show has been pre-empted due to the Memorial holiday), Michael is shown outside the Nurses Ball stage room, as he catches up with Wiley.
Michael marvels at how much Wiley has grown and tells the little boy just how much he has missed him.
This is when Wiley asks if they are headed back to Uncle Drew's house, and Michael tells him no: he has an even better plan ... a sleepover at Grandma Carly's!
Amelia is already there waiting for them, and Wiley is so excited about the fun night that's in store for them.
The preview shows Michael picking up Wiley to head out, as Willow and Drew come from the gala room, in hopes of stopping them.
Wiley waves goodbye to his mom as Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) steps from out of nowhere and stops Willow and Drew.
Jason tells the two that "Following them would be a bad idea," and his face is as serious as a heart attack.
Willow and Drew stop dead in their tracks, and the preview fades as the General Hospital logo pops up.
Willow and Drew look upset and frustrated that they weren't able to catch up and stop Michael, so how upset will they - and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) - be when they realize where Amelia and Wiley are?
Is Michael's plan to stay at Carly's indefinitely (at least until he finds a house of his own, or until he can figure out what he does next)?
Then again, he may just want to stay at Carly's house to catch up with his mom and spend some time with her.
After all, Michael may want to thank her for all she did for him. She was the one who organized his German clinic stay, after all.
Plus, she acted as an advocate for Michael by standing up to Willow and Drew.
Carly may have acted rashly when scheduling the custody hearing early, but Michael may also see that his mom was just trying to do her best to get the kids away from Drew as soon as possible.
Michael's home is at the Quartermaines, and the gate house, so the 'sleepover' at Carly's may be a little reunion for Michael, his kids, and his mom.
General Hospital spoilers suggest that Drew and Willow are upset enough about what Michael's done; however, as they've been battling Carly quite a bit lately, they'll be downright furious when they find out where the kids are.
